Christmas Roll Cake


Today, I’ll introduce Christmas Roll Cake. It’s Christmas soon, so I chose this cake. This time, I made a Christmas cake shaped like Bush de Noel. Bush de Noel is French Christmas cake in the form of firewood and stump. This cake resembles firewood and is coated with cocoa cream and decorated. First, I’ll show you how to make the sponge cake for the roll cake’s dough. The ingredients of sponge cake are egg yolk, milk, salad oil, flour, cocoa milk, egg white and sugar. Prepare before you start making sponge cake. Warm the milk, add it to cocoa powder and melt cocoa powder well. I made a chocolate sponge cake, so I needed to do this preparation. If you want to eat an ordinary sponge cake, you will skip this process. First, put egg yolks in the bowl and whisk firmly until it turns white. Next add to the bowl salad oil, cocoa milk, flour in order, and mix well each time. Second, put egg white in another bowl and mix lightly. Next, add half the sugar to it and mix well. Then add the remaining half of the sugar and whisk until firm peaks form. Third, put a third of whipped egg whites in the bowl containing egg yolk and mix well. Then put the remaining egg white in two parts and mix each time so as not to crush foam. Finally, pour the dough into the mold and bake for about 25 minutes in an oven warmed to 180. When the dough is baked, cool the dough.




Next is preparation and the way of decoration. The ingredients are fresh cream and sugar powder. First, put sugar powder in fresh cream and mix until it becomes firmness like soft cream. Second, put the cream on the cooled dough and smooth the cream to even thickness. Then, roll from the edge and cool it in a refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Finally, spread fresh cream on the surface of the roll cake and attach a commercial Christmas decoration.
